Some fly tying shops will have muskrat fur in stock, but you will probably have to order it from an outside source. Usually sold in patches a couple inches square and the prices are reasonable.
buying any hair or fur that is on the hide, the hide should be soft and
pliable. The hide should be scrapped clean of any residue.
